Richard R. Thomson is a strategist, entrepreneur, and community leader with a background in public affairs, nonprofit development, and communications. He is the Founder and CEO of Imperium Strategic Group, a consulting firm that helps mission-driven organizations grow their reach and connect more effectively with supporters.

Richard began his career in the California State Legislature, serving as Chief of Staff and Capitol Director before becoming the Vice President of Programs for a nationally recognized non-profit, helping significantly grow both impact and revenue.

Through Imperium, he works with non-profits, civic organizations, and campaigns to develop strategies for growth, fundraising, and engagement. He’s passionate about helping leaders solve real-world challenges and build lasting support for their work.

Richard lives in the California foothills, where he runs a small ranch and serves as the elected President of his local Community Services District.
