Ernesto is an entrepreneur and investor actively representing President Nayib Bukele's political party, Nuevas Ideas, in Sacramento. He has been deeply involved in political engagement both domestically and internationally, serving as the Chief of one of the voting centers in El Salvador during the Salvadoran elections abroad in 2019 and 2021, and as an election observer at Hemlock Station in San Francisco, California, in 2024.

His work reflects a commitment to civic participation, political advocacy, and the Salvadoran diaspora community. He has also been involved in community service since that time, including organizing nationwide medical visits.
